2010 Michigan Music Conference Headline Presenter Bob Phillips

An exciting line up of great sessions by terrific presenters and fabulous concerts has been assembled for the 2010 Michigan Music Conference being held January 21-23, 2010 at the Amway Grand Hotel in Grand Rapids. This year MASTA will present Bob Phillips as its headline presenter. Mr. Phillips will give two sessions and be one of our guests of honor at our annual MASTA luncheon on Saturday. Bob Phillips, composer, pedagogue, and teacher trainer, is renowned as an innovator in string education. He brings a wealth of knowledge and a sense of humor to his clinics, drawn from his 27 years as a public school string teacher in Saline, MI. Currently he serves as string editor for Alfred Publishing. Bob and his wife, Pam continue their music education outreach via their presentations at national and state music conferences as well as their leadership roles in the American String Teachers Association. Bob will present sessions on Re-energizing the Beginning Instrumental Classroom and Creating Expressive Performance Through Repertoire.
