Submissions
Competition requirements:
1) No prior 1st place winners are allowed to participate.
2) Applicants must be string players and 30 years of age or younger on Jan. 1, 2011.
3) The 1st place winner will engage in community outreach the work week prior to the Feb. 12th performance.
4) Please submit a resume and video recording (including accompaniment) of a complete concerto. Letters of recommendation are optional.
5) Enclose a check or money order for a $25 application fee made payable to the Marquette Symphony Orchestra.
6) Send video and application fee to: Marquette Symphony Orchestra, 300 W. Baraga, Marquette MI, 49855 by Sept. 15, 2010.
Winners will be notified by Oct. 15, 2010. Please direct questions regarding your application to the competition coordinator: Dr. Barbara Rhyneer, brhyneer@nmu.edu, (906) 227-2309. Thank You.
